Jessica Somera (she/siya) | @jessica_somera
Jessica Somera is an Ilokano woman, born and raised in Treaty 6 & 8 Territory, specifically Amiskwacîwâskahikan (Edmonton) and High Level/Chateh (Hay Lakes 209). She is a certified NCCP coach & has coached basketball + volleyball in Alberta Indigenous Games. She currently works in paediatric mental health & is reconnecting to her culture.

Farah Talaat (she/her)

Farah Talaat (she/her) is an Egyptian poet, media host, event planner, womanist and youth/community worker. She immigrated to Canada approximately ten years ago. Farah embodies liberatory, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive practices in her role as a youth leader. As a Solidarity Specialist, she facilitates a number of programs & workshops that embed and explore roots of solidarity between Indigenous and non-Indigenous youth. Farah has a deep passion for solidarity, food security, community wellness and creative writing as pathways for healing and resistance.
