Brayden Omeasoo-Steinhauer

Brayden hails from Neyaskweyahk, also known as Ermineskin Cree Nation. Neyaskweyahk is one of four First Nations that make up the Maskwacis community, located on Treaty 6 territory. He is very passionate about Indigenous education and aspires to be an Indigenous educator who will honor his Indigenous language, ways of knowing and being, and traditions, with his future students and the generations to come. He will be entering his last year of his bachelor of education at the University of Alberta and plans to teach in his home community upon completion.
