Constance Goodwin,

Constance Goodwin is a 21-year-old Swampy Cree woman from Kashechewan First Nation, located along the James Bay area in Northern Ontario. Her spirit name is Sweetgrass Woman. Having spent years navigating the child welfare system, she has become a strong advocate for Indigenous youth, using her voice through the Indigenous Youth Advisory Council (IYAC) to push for meaningful change. Constance is passionate about reading, singing, and seed beading, embracing both traditional and contemporary forms of self-expression. Looking ahead, she aspires to build a career in the field of business, blending her advocacy experience with entrepreneurial ambitions to create opportunities for Indigenous communities.
