Jayden Ode’imin,
she/they
Graphic Designer
Jayden Ode’imin (she/they) is based in N’Swakamok (Sudbury) and has Anishinaabe maternal ties to Whitefish River First Nation / Birch Island.
Their design journey started in their childhood, where they had a passion for re-drawing and re-designing logos. Jayden specialized in art and music in High School and later pursued a degree in Architectural Studies. In 2020, they realized they wanted to pursue graphic design and branding. At the same time, they found out they were expecting their first child, June Ode’imin.
When navigating the uncertainties that surrounded COVID-19, Jayden decided to take their parental leave early, withdraw from their studies and to start to start their own small business specializing in Anishinaabe Beadwork and Graphic Design.
Since 2020, they have worked in the film industry, in the non-profit industry and recently as a Graphic Designer and Project Manager for an Indigenous Design Agency based in Northern Ontario. Jayden is thrilled to be joining Indigenous Youth Roots as a Graphic Designer.
