Tracy Hussey

Tracy is passionate about safe and inclusive communities where children and youth can learn, play and grow.  As a mom, pediatric dietitian and leader, I know we have a lot of growth and change ahead of us and our youth are perfectly poised to walk beside us in this journey.

Tracy comes to Canadian Roots Exchange as a healthcare leader with over 20 years of experience in pediatrics, family medicine and hospital care (McMaster Children’s Hospital, Hamilton Family Health Team, Sunnybrook Academic Family Health Team, St Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton).  She volunteered as board chair for a regional youth mental health and justice organization and saw how empowering youth can bring about monumental change.  She has formal training in governance, financial management, project management and human resources.  She is very excited to contribute to this much-needed change journey.  

In her spare time, Tracy is reading “Our Whole Gwich’in Way of Life Has Changed,” is a mom of two teenagers and likes to cook, knit and be outdoors.
