Tija Hauta

Tija Hauta is a Métis and mixed white-settler woman. Her educational background is in environmental management and policy, holding an HBSc in Forestry and a technical diploma in Ecosystem Management. Before coming to Indigenous Youth Roots, Tija worked in various roles with other youth-serving non-profits and within the federal government. Tija is deeply passionate about environmental justice, and in her work, she strives to ensure that Indigenous youth are at the forefront of policy conversations and policy research that affects them and their communities.
