Join us while we learn about the journey from adolescence to adulthood, and teachings on the Rites of Passage with Nikaronhya’a Dawn Martin.

Speaker Bio

Nikaronhya’a is a Mohawk language speaker, artist and land-based educator. They’ve been working with seed-saving efforts and the revitalization of traditional agricultural practices of the Haudenosaunee and has been apprenticing to become a deer and bison hide tanner.

Throughout Dawn’s life, she has had many opportunities to learn and be mentored by language speakers and traditional knowledge holders. They have been working to carry stories, teachings and follow storytelling practices of the Rotinonhsyonni peoples.
