Biruk Addis

Biruk Tesfaye Addis is a first-generation Immigrant from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia currently living in Dish with One Spoon Territory (Tkaronto). He holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and has worked in the transportation and nonprofit sector for over 10 years.

He enjoys the purpose, the values and the conversations that take place in community-based organizations and values conversations around equity and social justice. His education and experience in Finance allowed him to work in organizations with a special focus on youth and other vulnerable communities.

As the Finance Coordinator, he is looking forward to supporting everyone in IYR to do what they do best in their efforts to create youth who are empowered and connected as dynamic leaders in vibrant and thriving communities.
