Carrington is a Black Scotian-Mi’kmaw and German woman with roots in Springhill and Weskewinaq (Digby), Nova Scotia, and Herbert, Saskatchewan. She is an aunty, stepmom, storyteller, gamer, and public speaker who is passionate about empowering Indigenous youth and decolonizing learning spaces. Carrington has over ten years of experience developing and delivering projects at the grassroots, provincial, national, and international levels and has worked for more than eight years in Indigenous training and education. Grounded in teachings of great love and kindness, they believe laughter is medicine and that when relationships are built on reciprocity and mutual respect, they will lead to radical change.
