Bio

Erica Brown,

she/her

Strategy Coordinator

Erica (she/her) is a queer, neurodivergent Métis woman living in the Amiskwaciwâskahikan Treaty 6 territory – also known as Edmonton.

Disconnected from traditional ways most of her life, she understands the importance of reconnection and wants to do all she can to support Indigenous youth in being the leaders we need for thriving communities. Erica is passionate about amplifying Indigenous voices with a special interest in reconciliation, Land Back, invisible disabilities, and crisis intervention.

With over 10 years of experience in project/event management and administration, Erica is very excited to be at IYR as a Strategy Coordinator. In her every day, you can usually find Erica singing (terribly) to her 100+ plants, learning how to and creating traditional Métis beadwork, or taking photos of the Moon.
