Julia Louise Giraudi

Hi! My name is Julia Louise,

I’m a Filipinx-Italian settler living in Dish With One Spoon Territory (Toronto). I am a recent graduate from the University of Toronto studying Women and Gender studies, Diasporic and Transnationalism studies and Indigenous studies. I find solace in using spoken word poetry, music and other art forms to express life as a young first-generation bisexual woman in a settler-colonial nation-state. I was a YRI leader in 2018/2019 and am thrilled to continue working with IYR as the Solidarity Programming Manager. I am passionate about educating other settlers on our responsibilities to Indigenous peoples and encouraging other racialized settlers to explore our own roots.
