Tija Hauta

Tija is a Manager of Policy and Research at IYR and is living in Thunder Bay, Ontario on Robinson-Superior Treaty territory – the lands of the Anishinaabe. Her educational background is in environmental management and forestry, and she has a strong interest in policy. She currently holds an HBSc in Forestry and a technical diploma in Ecosystem Management. Before coming to IYR, she worked in different capacities at non-profits with youth to deliver environmental and land-based education as well as technology-based programming. Tija also worked with the federal government structuring environmental management policies and conducting related research.
